DKNY Wall New York

The DKNY wall has become an icon, serving as the unofficial entrance to SoHo, with its black and white pre-September 11th skyline and a superimposed Statue of Liberty.
The mural, which was based on a logo designed by Peter Arnell, was installed on the north side of the six-floor building at 600 Broadway, on the corner of Houston Street, in 1992.
It achieved national recongition when it was incorporated into the opening credit sequence for NYPD Blue. In 2008, Abercrombie and Fitch signed a 20-year, $71-million lease to open a 40,000 square-foot store in the building, and DKNY lost the rights to use the wall.
